Here’s a sweet donut recipe perfect for celebrating Mardi Gras with gluttony while paying attention to your line. Unlike the traditional recipe, these tasty donuts are baked and not in an oil bath. They, therefore, contain much less fat than the classic version, but are equally fluffy and also very good. What to celebrate Carnival without guilt!
-500 g flour
-200 g of butter
-100 g caster sugar
-40 g dehydrated baker’s yeast
-2 tbsp. tablespoon of milk
-1 pinch of salt
Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Dig a well in the center. Pour in eggs, melted butter. Add eggs and butter. Knead for a few minutes until you have a smooth ball of dough.
Cover the container with a clean cloth and let the dough rise for 2h30 at room temperature.
Degas the dough on a lightly floured work surface. Using the rolling pin, spread the dough on your worktop about 4-5 mm thick. Cut the donuts with a donut or donut cookie cutter.
Arrange the donuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover the plate with a clean cloth and let it rise again for 45 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 190 ° C. Using a brush, brush the donuts with a little milk. Bake for about 10 minutes. When the donuts are golden brown, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool. Sprinkle with icing sugar before eating.
