Coconut flan with sweetened condensed milk

Are you tired of cakes, snow whites, pasta pies, custard, and fresh fruit? Cook this coconut flan recipe with sweetened condensed milk. With homemade caramel or someone else’s. To feast on people you love a little, a lot, or a lot.

Preheat your oven to 180 ° C (th.6) by installing in a gratin dish filled one-third of water to prepare a water bath. Place a cake mold (preferably silicone) on your worktop, then start by preparing your caramel in a pan, melting and then lightly brown on low heat/medium sugar well spread over the entire surface of the pan. As soon as it becomes liquid (and without letting it burn), pour it into the bottom of the mold.

Then prepare the flan dish in a bowl: whisk or spoon the eggs, the grated coconut, then the sweetened condensed milk and the coconut milk. Pour your mixture over the caramel into the pan, then place it in the water bath and bake for about 45 minutes until the tip of a knife comes out dry.

Let the flan cool and then serve the warm with a spoon, or unmolded (after spending a few hours in the refrigerator).

  • TIPS

If you want to flavor your custard, add 1 tbsp. rum, vanilla extract or orange blossom water. To heal the presentation, do not hesitate to spread your caramel and your preparation of custard in individual ramekins (the cooking will then last less).
