Bourguignon beef with dark chocolate

Discover this recipe of grandmother boeuf bourguignon with dark chocolate. A recipe from my mom.

Ingredients for 4 persons

  • 1 kg of beef (ask the butcher to cut it into pieces)
  • 50 g margarine
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 onions
  • 2 spoonfuls of flour
  • 3/4 liter of red wine
  • 1 crushed garlic clove
  • 1 box of mushrooms
  • 1 small can of tomato paste
  • Bacon
  • Parsley
  • 2 dark chocolate tiles to bake

Preparation: 30 minutes

Total time: 2 hours and 30 minutes

PREPARATION

1- Cut the bacon into cubes. Peel carrots, wash and cut into rounds. Peel the onions. Peel the garlic and crush it.
2- Brown the bacon in a casserole with the onions. After 5 minutes, add the carrots and brown. Then remove the ingredients from the casserole and set aside.
3- Heat the margarine, put the meat to brown (if too much meat, do it twice). Add bacon, onions and carrots.
4- Sprinkle with flour, mix well.
5- Pour the red wine while stirring to obtain a creamy sauce. Bring to a boil. Add a glass of water, crushed garlic and parsley.

To finish

Dilute the tomato paste in the sauce. Add the mushrooms drained and the 2 chocolate tiles. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours.
